Dr Oonagh Duffy BSc (Hons), PhD, DClinPsy is a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice in Glasgow. She has worked in numerous areas of healthcare within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, including working within areas of Physical Health (Oncology, Maternity Services, Respiratory Medicine, Renal, Cardiology, Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care) and Mental Health (Community Mental Health Teams and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services). She has supported healthcare staff in their roles through consultation, coaching, teaching and training.
Before becoming a Clinical Psychologist, Oonagh carried out a PhD investigating experiences of menopausal symptoms in over 4,000 women in Scotland. This work explored factors associated with vulnerability and resilience at Menopause. She has a number of publications from this work and has presented these studies nationally and internationally. From this work came a keen interest in understanding the role of perceptions and symptom experience.
Oonagh is particularly interested in understanding relationships within systems and using compassion to foster better relationships and ways of working in systems that can feel stuck and blaming.
