Fiona Moran is a Registered Forensic Psychologist with a special interest in the link between trauma and offending. She has spent the majority of her twenty-five year career engaging in psychological intervention with those in the Criminal Justice System. With a professional background including the Scottish Prison Service, Barnardo’s, Open Secret, The Princes Trust, and the Correction Dept of New Zealand she is passionate about the need for trauma responsive practice across all sectors of the work force.
Fiona currently leads the clinical work of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation-Scotland (formerly Stop it Now Scotland) supporting the staff team, providing psychological intervention in complex cases and managing and co-delivering the Breaking the Links Programme (a psychoeducational groupwork programme for individuals who have experienced trauma and have sexually offended). Fiona has expert knowledge in the role that trauma plays in the pathway towards sexual offending and provides opportunities for individuals to construct a narrative around their traumatic experiences and their offending. She has also designed and delivered bespoke trauma awareness training to all Lucy Faithfull Foundation employees.
