With a BA in Education and Social Services, Jordan has worked across diverse areas, including advocating for children and young people in the care system, supporting survivors of in-care abuse and neglect, and providing psychoeducation and support to individuals within the addiction landscape. Jordan approaches her work with sensitivity, helping individuals explore their unique challenges while supporting recovery through trauma-informed practices both 1:1 and within groupwork settings.

Jordan is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and holds a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Although a CBT therapist, Jordan works in an integrative way, incorporating a broad range of approaches to meet the unique and varied needs of clients. A significant aspect of Jordan’s practice involves providing psychoeducation of neurobiology, empowering individuals to understand how trauma affects their brains and bodies. Compassion-focused therapy is central to Jordan’s work, creating safe spaces where clients can explore their inner strengths and build self-compassion in their response to trauma, reducing shame.

Jordan is pursuing a Certificate in Counselling Children, Young People, and Families to deepen her ability to support families navigating the complexities of trauma. Jordan believes that understanding and addressing trauma within a family system at the earliest opportunity is crucial for healing and building resilience in individuals, their loved ones and wider communities.

As a Trauma Trainer, Jordan embodies trauma-informed principles in every aspect of her work. Jordan is passionate about equipping individuals, teams, and organisations with the knowledge and tools needed to create environments of safety, trust, and healing. Jordan’s mission is to empower trauma survivors, their families and the organisations they engage with, to understand and embrace the healing journey through trauma-informed practice, awareness, compassion and evidence based strategies incorporating mind and body.
