Overview and Purpose

This compassionate leadership course is led by Dr Martin Kettle BA (Hons), CQSW, MSc, MPhil, Prof D., SFHEA.

Martin is a qualified social worker with over forty years’ experience in practice, leadership, policy work and higher education. As well as his Professional Doctorate, he holds Masters qualifications in child protection, leadership and mindfulness. He currently teaches part-time on social work courses at Glasgow Caledonian University, where he is the Programme Lead for the Postgraduate Diploma for Chief Social Work Officers.

He is also currently an Associate Lectureron the MSc in Mindfulness Studies at the University of Aberdeen, contributing to teaching on compassion and professional enquiry.

On the compassionate leadership course delegates will learn about the key components within compassionate leadership which have been shown to increase staff engagement and satisfaction, resulting in better outcomes, including improved organisational performance.

Prerequisites

 

The compassionate leadership course entails a pre course questionnaire to assist you on you learning journey to being a compassionate leader in your organisation.
