Overview and Purpose

On the one-day trauma skilled training course, we promote that trauma is everybody’s business. The course is designed for all agencies, and we facilitate a safe space to deliver interactive inputs and work in groups to share reflections and build knowledge, skills, and practice.

The training approach is strengths based and delivered to accommodate all learning styles. It draws from the latest research and the aim is to increase practitioner confidence and how they align their practice to be informed and responsive to the service users they serve who may have history of trauma. This training is provided to progress and achieve the Scottish Government national vision: to create a trauma informed and responsive Justice workforce in Scotland
