Trauma Training

At Epione, we are hugely passionate about sharing knowledge, skills and practice. We specialise in providing a wide range of inspirational trauma training courses , covering all levels set out in the Transforming Psychological Trauma: A Knowledge and Skills Framework for the Scottish Workforce. From trauma informed training in-line with NES Level 1, which allows attendees to understand person-centred interactions in a way that prevents further harm and supports recovery from trauma and adversity, to Trauma Informed Leadership training, which enables an organisation to begin to set out its own course of action in creating a culture of trauma informed and trauma responsive practice.

          Trauma Training

Our trauma informed training courses can run as live online ‘open registration’ or in person ‘closed registration’ for a specific team or service. We utilise an array of learning and teaching styles, including small group discussions, experiential reflection, multimedia methods and learning inputs either in person or online. The training is highly participative, and case studies and live examples will be interwoven throughout. Most of all, we aim to ‘model the model’ and make our training informative, fun, and engaging so that all participants have the confidence to employ the practical tools acquired during training in their workplace, and so deliver a trauma informed and responsive practice to improve outcomes

We deliver training at a pace that suits learners and in group numbers that values quality over quantity; normally limited to around 18 attendees per training session. This to ensure best practice and creating the optimal learning environment. Previous attendees have included social workers, police, mental health officers, prison staff, healthcare staff, psychologists, therapists, and researchers to name but a few professions. Ultimately, courses are for any professional in contact with children, young people and adults.

Our flagship level 3 course is approved through the British Psychological Society CPD Quality Mark Scheme for the purposes of continuing professional development. Also, our face to face training delivery has been independently evaluated by Griesbach & Associates as well as Community Justice Scotland. We have also independently evaluated our online training showing extremely positive learning outcomes and changes in practice.
